Happy to see lunch special are available along with regular menu. Food is already amazing; and now the variety, portions, and prices for lunch are great.

I came here for evening for dinner and thought that it was great! The interior of the restaurant is a modern and minimalist vibe but still has Chinese inspiration. I also loved how all of the wait staff wore more traditional uniforms, and thought that it was a nice touch to the ambiance. Staff was super attentive (especially with water), fast, and kind. I ordered the chongqing chicken, pork XLB, and mapo tofu here and thought that it was all great. The chongqing chicken had bits of bread in it that I thought was great and wasn't too spicy. The pork XLB were great portions and filled it savory broth. And, the mapo tofu was pretty solid as well. Overall, not a bad spot for some Chinese food!

Fried tong yuan are fire here. The whole fish was also amazing with chili. The other dishes we got were alright but those two really stood out.

Made a reservation for a Wednesday night dinner and we were seated pretty quick! All of the dishes were perfect for sharing as family style. Everything was delicious but the one dish that actually surprised me was the Crispy Gluten Balls. I have never tried anything like it in my life and I can't recommend it enough! To me, it's so unique with how crispy it is and how it's salty on the outside but sweet from the sesame on the inside. It's a must try!

The crispy glutinous rice balls squirted about 3 feet out of my mouth. It was served as the final item. I suspect it's because it's a bit on the sweet side. It was my favorite item here. I just ate them whole after the sesame filling landed inches from another patrons feet. The pork soup dumplings did not do it for me. I order them elsewhere. The flavor was a bit bland. But I suppose it pairs well, if you order it with some of the spicier items. Two pepper spice level here was similar to "Thai Hot" with the fried chicken we ordered. The flavor was very nice and not overwhelming. If you aren't accustomed to spicy foods, items marked with 2 peppers might be challenging. I did not have anything marked as 3 peppers, but I suspect that might exceed what my current palate is capable of enjoying. Because I've been eating pretty bland food for years. I'd get the crispy glutinous rice balls again. I would try other items here.

I loved the ambiance of this place! I think it's great to any size and type of group/date. The food was delicious and decent portions too. Just be aware that the spicy dishes can be very spicy! Like the mapo tofu. It was good to get a good balance of spicy and non-spicy dishes. I especially loved the shrimp (although a little annoying to eat), dandan noodles, and the cauliflower. The Szechuan chicken was also delicious but you really had to dig around for the pieces. The table's favorite was the crispy glutinous rice balls that had black sesame filling on the inside! It is a must to have at the end of the meal despite it being one of the chef's specials. The service was also ok but they only allowed 75 minutes for the table. We also unfortunately found a piece of nail inside one of the rice bowls. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal!

I made a Friday night reservation for my father's birthday, and it was packed by 7:30! The majority of the crowd was on the younger side. That being said, it was a bit weird that I arrived with my family just a few minutes before our reservation time, but some younger couples behind us were greeted and introduced to their tables first. The hostess did request we honor a 1.5 hour seating and I thought that was pretty reasonable given how busy it was. The food highlights were the whole fish and the unique fried glutinous rice balls! The whole fish was rich with a spicy and non-spicy diced broth, which was subtly spicy. Fish was cooked just enough to not fall apart in the chili pepper sauce. I've never had black sesame glutinous rice balls before deep-fried and then stir-fried with pickled mustard greens; it's a pretty interesting flavor combination that I ended up liking. It's a bit on the pricey side for what it was but worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. Other dishes including the Chongqing noodles, sauteed pea shoots, and Zi Ding (spicy chicken), and truffle fried rice were perfect. I'd avoid the black pepper beef cubes, which were a little under-seasoned.
